Why Construction Companies Need SOPs: Stop Running Projects on Hit-and-Trial

How many construction companies actually have an SOP for running a project? Not an ISO document sitting in a folder. Not a procedure prepared for an audit. I mean a practical operating system that tells the project team what to plan, what to execute, what to measure, when to review it, and what action to take when performance falls behind. In my experience, far too many construction projects are still being managed through trial and error , personal experience, and daily firefighting.
